2026/2027 Rhythmik Academy Season is now open for enrollment!

Everyone 8+ must audition. Auditions will be held at Midway Studio Collective on the morning of May 16th and on May 19th from 3:00-5:00pm. Exact times will be emailed after registration.

Please prepare a one minute song to sing at auditions. The song may be in any of the genres/styles listed: pop, jazz, Broadway, Disney.

You will be taught a dance on the first day of auditions to perform as well.
Classes are taught at Midway Studio Collective, Sonnet's Music Studio and in the summer- outside in the sun!

π« SUMMER CLASSES : Tuesdays & Saturdays throughout the summer

In preparation for our Swiss Days Show, classes will be held outside at the Midway Town Square on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. -Not every Tuesday and Saturday- Full practice schedule will be given out at the parent meeting. (I know summers are busy. If you have to miss rehearsals, you must practice at home to be prepared for the next rehearsal. Thanks!)

π² Swiss Costume Fee: $100 Due June 29th (Girls will have a Swiss Dirndl & Boys will have Swiss Lederhosen)
π« FALL & SPRING CLASSES: Fall and spring classes will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays throughout the school year. We follow the Wasatch School District school calendar. We will have a Christmas performance and Spring performance, with other additional performances TBA.

Be part of a vibrant celebration of Swiss heritage! In our Swiss Days Show, performers will learn traditional Swiss folk songs and dances and perform in authentic Swiss Dirndls and Lederhosen.

Sonnet Remund
βSonnet has always been immersed in the world of music and dance. She began dancing at age 3, took up piano lessons at 6, and was singing before she could talk. Over the years, Sonnet has trained and competed extensively in various disciplines, including piano, vocal repertoire, classical ballet, lyrical, and tap. Her versatility extends to performing in genres such as hip hop, cheer, modern, and ballroom.
By the age of 14, Sonnet had already established herself as an accomplished musician, founding her own piano studio where she taught numerous students while continuing her own education in music and dance. She has a particular love for arranging and composing choral and piano pieces, and in 2000, she won 2nd place in the Utah Music Teachers Association Composition Competition.
In 2002, Sonnet was the captain of the co-ed cheer/stunt squad and was honored as the Music Sterling Scholar at Wasatch High School. Following her graduation, she continued her piano career and competed in the Miss Wasatch pageant, winning the talent award and securing a place in the royalty twice, which led to her participation in the Miss Utah State Fair in 2003. Her pageant journey also included serving as a hostess and performance coach for Miss Madison, Miss Upper Valley, and Miss Rexburg.
Sonnet pursued further studies in music and dance at BYU-Idaho and BYU in Provo, continuing to expand her artistic and academic horizons. She danced with a ballroom team and was a flyer on the co-ed stunt squad for one semester. After graduating, Sonnet created "Rhythmik Soccer," and she first taught it as a conditioning drill when she coached at Madison High School. Growing up with seven brothers, Sonnet was surrounded by sports, particularly soccer. She not only loved music and dance but had to keep up with the boys on the soccer pitch. Her brothers pushed her to do her best. This unique blend of music, dance, and athleticism led her to create "Rhythmik Soccer," combining her passions in a novel way.
In 2014, Sonnet established Rhythmik Studio, where she taught various types of music and dance. As the owner and creator of "Rhythmik Soccer," she enjoyed teaching soccer skills with a hip hop twist. The COVID-19 pandemic led to the closure of Rhythmik Studio, and Sonnet took a break for a few years to focus on vocal and piano performance from 2021 to 2024.
Now, Sonnet is excited to be opening Rhythmik Academy again! She is thrilled to share her love and joy of music and dance with her community.
When she is not teaching or choreographing, you will likely find her on a soccer pitch, cheering on her kids. She loves being outside, spending time with her husband and children, and is always ready for an adventure!
